XL1 and Short Film

Question of Regie88:
Dezember 2009

Hi Folks,

'm new here. I just got time now registered because I have a question.
And while I have gained half a year ago, a Canon XL1 and now finally get hold synonymous an XLR adapter ... In January the rotation goes off for our short film.

Now I am totally confused an acquaintance. The XL1 would scrap for a short film would be only for the EB-field need to be.
Schonmal had previously asked in the forum because I was recommended to the xl1 for my budget. Have (then synonymous bought used and am really happy I have to say in the technical area, something needs to catch'm here not as quite in it)

I think one needs to use what you have.
Now I would like to ask for your opinion ... can not change it now anyway because I did anyway, only the xl1 for disposal but I would still be interested if that is really sooo bad for a short film.

Thank schonmal.

A good film lives of the idea of the script, the people of the light setting, and yet some more - the camera was being played within certain limits is not important. So if your movie is nothing, is not donating to the camcorder's ;-)

Reply Regie88:

No. I had not synonymous to push it on the cam to where he is nothing;)
That was what I thought .... so synonymous one is still with the Canon can shoot a short film. As I have said that cameras must respect I find it more and am unsure synonymous quickly ...
Have often "fuck DV look" in connection with the XL1 is one ... This is not the first time ...

naja, I guess that will be all right. Before coming even before a contract is for a carnival event ... let's see how the canon is proposed as:)

Reply WideScreen:

Ner synonymous with good post-you can still change some s.Look, the one behind with can never say what exactly was the Kam rotated. We had already made several short films with the XL1. Ware echt super. Although not HD, however, is halt ne issue of the purse.

Turns easily, and let you ned of unsettling theorists. :)

Reply canovision:

do not let yourself be misled Of whisperers, you're with the action on the right track ....

Just do what your motto says ...

Reply Regie88:

Okay thanks: D now I'm more nich so insecure ....
'm in post production than anything experienced in the area Camera .... That was my thought that is synonymous that you can make it safe for post-production still a lot: D

* freu * now I can again look "right" on the turn ....

was just so confused because my stop is known synonymous already made some really good productions and therefore has more ahnung ...

But since I like you all can see we are synonymous rocking the short film already: D

Reply Charlinsky:

Hi,
I can only connect the speakers.
The cam is ne good choice for getting started - I had with the XL 1s successfully filmed - and if we know the weaknesses of the XL1 series (A - Focus for example) so you can achieve top results. And as the film arrives, or is primarily determined by the worker who operates the camera - and not the camera technology.

Oh we are just here I have another question. I started with a Panasonic NV GS 75, four years ago and now I bought the canon. Now it would obviously be very handy with a scene to shoot, the Canon and the Panasonic can run along on the Tripod "to. Would make the turn and you had more material for the cut later ....

Can you mix the material of the two cams? I said it honestly so far not tried it yet I would be interested if there would be no massive image differences.

lg

Reply B.DeKid:

The material of both cams must be adjusted.

..........

XL Series is good for all types of projects more than made up.

Let me tell you nothing.

Reply Regie88:

yes I have thought that there needs to be adapted ... what should I pay attention for it is all if I change ...
I'm not sure do not want with the auto functions drüberpfuschen post at the ... 've never done this as I said with two cams and want a good quality in the film ....

thanks:)

Reply B.DeKid:

Boris FX or take - the worst material as a standard and to align the better material to this standard.
