Because I'm a search on eBay for a Canon XL2 NTSC 1400EUR pushed over scarce.

The prices are in the U.S. generally somewhat lower. Whether the offer is now serious but I can not judge the pricing situation overseas, you can google yourself. ;-)
What I see more as a problem: What do you want with NTSC? If you do not just before you emigrate, you do yourself with the camera here in Europe is just annoying.

In short the main points: an NTSC DV camcorder is only 720 × 480 pixels (instead of the PAL-version with 720 × 576 pixels). The picture is significantly blurred. When converting to PAL is more image quality is lost because of 30 fps to 25 and changed the picture at the same time PAL / SD size must be inflated. Also, you can no images in this video with other exchange, unless there is still someone an NTSC camcorder angel eight (what greed leads to everything). ;-)
Alternatively, you could NTSC video output synonymous as such, if your television supports it.
PS: In the U.S. prices are usually given to those still there then VAT added. During transport to Europe are sometimes quite ordinary s.and shipping on importation into Austria, the inch-and local sales tax (unless the same manner as in D). Computed times to see if it is still worthwhile, in addition to one year warranty to renounce (USA: 1 year / AT: 2 years?).

Can something so serious? Hardly. On the one costing the XL2 synonymous in USA / Canada in doubt reputable dealers more clearly, it is the suspect profile: So far only seem almost cheap item sells, and now piles of Mac laptops and 28 (!) XL2? I would steer clear of it.
NTSC That alone would be a reason for the fingers to let them.
