Infoseite // best possible preview of HD LCD?

Frage von miohn:

Hello s.Alle,

browse the Internet for some time according to the following issues:

MacPro 2008, 8x 3,2 G, 12 GB Ram, Radeon 3870 installed, Win 7, 2 monitors connected via DVI. I want to spend more than others Effetcs CS4 After the preview of a Sony37 inch LCD. If possible, of course, in the full 1920x 1080 resolution.

Now I would be grateful for tips!

Which is better, my old GForce 8800GT as 2nd GraKa again to install and to head for the LCD via DVI / HDMI cable (; AE CS4 überhaut recognize it as an external monitor? That creates the 8800GT at all?, I may need a quick raid for this?)
or the path of these "Black Magic Pro Intense" (; go HDMI) card?

I have read about this card so far very different opinion.
On the other Page, I do not want to invest too much money.

Lieben Dank and
LG aus Frankfurt

2. graphics card. Is used by the system and AF as well as the first.

If the hard disks are not fast enough, is the kind of thumbnail damn perfect. Apart from that you have in your MacPro, the easy way, fairly easy to retrofit many internal hard disks and operate either in RAID mode. Would I, regardless of the preview issue suggest, anyway. Sensible and cheaper than with a couple of 1TB HDs so you can not improve a system.

Hi Carsten,

thanks for the reply!

So, would you release the "2 graphics card 'preference
give to the "Intens Pro card.
Have I understood you correctly?

Thanks and LG

The Black Magic cards are rather what kind of people who want to use the input capabilities, especially for HDMI. If you need to do ne preview via DVI / HDMI and on top of the 8800GT graphics card already have, which is a waste of money.
