Hi folks,
I did three days ago bought a Canon HV30. Unfortunately, this recognizes a mini sd scandisk of not synonymous not Formatting s.PC, the proper use in a Panasonic Lumix and again Formatting s.PC. Are there differences to other manufacturers of miniSD or are there restrictions on the HV30 in the memory size?

is exactly the problem because the card is not recognized and so synonymous not be initialized.

Actually yes Sandisk are quality cards, should thus be synonymous of Canon to be adopted.
Maybe times you try another card in order to exclude the internal card reader of Canon is not defective. That would be the first time I play.

Would Hama mini SDHC 4GB synonymous go? Because SDHC not because not backwards compatible, right?

Hello,
basically, all MiniSD cards, which no preference manufacturer in the HV30 work. Guaranteed upper size according to Canon, but with 2 GB! Can be synonymous, that larger cards work, but is not guaranteed.
... and, importantly,
Card only
when the camera insert! (This is synonymous for the removing them!) Otherwise, can not only map the "shot" are synonymous but the electronics of the camcorder.
(@ MiniSD: Hope this is not happening to you!)
... and the only way s.Rande mentioned: Map richtigrum purely - label to the top - and cover when card inserted. (Have already seen horses Kotzen, o)
