hi wanted the sony - convert mts - file with "factory format" to mpg, mov or avi, but significant quality losses.
what can you advise me to?

The wrapper is quite synonymous no preference, you have to see what codec you use it.

Why do you want to convert it? Will you send someone or need something so that it can be opened with XYZ program, etc.?
