Hello!
I am just about to turn 50 minutes a number of avi files to mpeg1. Synonymous everything worked fine.
Now, suddenly, Tmpgenc causes problems ... the avi is running as normal, the 50 minutes, when he makes mpeg off a black guy ... eternally long instead of 400 MB, the file has suddenly over 1GB. Have you any idea what might be the cause?

Broken AVI file? Is it always the same file or AVI files to show some of that time or times that behavior?
At the end of a so-called index of avi files is available for faster access to "any" position within the video.
With unsecured file transfers with protocols it is possible that this index is damaged as if a transfer is aborted and the file body is not discarded. I think that such damage can manifest in the observed symptom.
Another mistake is stuck in the beginning of the file. There is indicated how many frames (pictures stuck) in the video. The number may be correct. AVI player may have used other methods to find out the yardage as TMPGEnc.
You can try and see if any other software detects such errors or even fixes. One tool for this is VirtualDub. Once open the movie and save them as Direct Stream Copy copy. That should generate a proper index. Information to the file itself and the frame rate can give synonymous VirtualDub) (File Information.
Finally, you can go in a particular case, and synonymous with the cut tool of TMPGEnc to the long tail cut s.der MPEG1 file.
