A/D-Konverter DAC-200 - Anschluss Kontrollmonitor?

A / D Converter DAC-200 - monitor connection?

Frage von arilinn:
Juni 2007

Guten Tach,

I want my old computer. AV now finally retires send up after me, Fast / Dazzle - like all other users - has been abandoned, what the (Drivers) Support is concerned, synonymous and never again a product of this Saftladen acquire them. So, had to be said. ;)

Now I liebäugele with a Datavideo DAC-200, which for my purposes probably sufficient. However, I could still find no information about whether to post the data as with the first unit again synonymous for output to the monitor can use. For Comparison: If I am currently with the DV. Now working, I can at first cut in over the analog outputs of a TV card as a control monitor (Effect preview, playback of segments, etc.).

Unfortunately I have no experience with such a "stand-alone box" and would therefore be for a few hints appreciated. Also info on whether this thing was really good, would certainly not wrong. :)

Thank you for your help!

- Björn

Then flame times better against the company Pinnacle (now Avid), which have (and other) companies that buy and support the driver can expire.

Hi Markus,
Thank you for your reference (particularly regarding Premiere)! Then I look at the unit times up, I think - maybe I will post a review times s.passender body.

@ Markus K.
Hast recht (synonymous times I had an IP Master, because I am the same happens with Dazzle) - which is why I wanted to not synonymous Pinnacle HW. The DAC-200 seems to me as a sensible solution, because without it the whole drivers and Klickibunti tool ballast supply, I do not need and should not mitbezahlen wants.

Thanks you all!

Oh, we almost slip into a striking economic-philosophical discussion from ...

The problem, that of other companies over products and then "die" is not new and may (or will) with each product - particularly in the computer field - recur. Sometimes, even a technology or a product for a new technology or a new product sacrificed. For the individual certainly annoying, no doubt.

Has anyone else villeicht an expensive ISA card for his PC, the PCI since he no longer can use?

To my knowledge, was almost one of the first companies providing such digital video technology at affordable prices in the consumer market have brought. Otherwise there was hardly an affordable digital video and was practically synonymous s.Firerwire not to think. Therefore, as tickets for the direct PC installation designed and were dependent on drivers. Often "play" these products are synonymous only with the right software. Digital video was very special. This was so because it is the beginning of this technology was.

This pioneering role is to deny, because after 5 or 10 years, the drivers are no longer updated, I do not consider OK. Sometime is always final.

Someone does not buy Sony products, because he still has Videkoassetten Betamax, but Sony no longer Batamax recorder produces?

Maybe would have Fast, Dazzle its successor, the successor Pinncle or successor desssen Avid software and drivers can write to these cards at least for the next capture, for example in the DV format to be able to use. Has probably not worth it. Of course the driver update would indeed be free, right?

Today, almost every motherboard has a DV connector and it is with DV cameras filmed. The "old" cards but only for archiving the old material. Why was not done when the cards are still valid (it) was? Of course, because there is not yet the capacity for these affordable prices were. This cost Konveter today synonymous only 1 / 10 of the price old video cards.

How long they live Canopus converter, for example depends on how long the hardware and the Spftwarewarehesteller perfectly suitable for video firewire port nor support. Then it is safe Converter other (for USB or something synonymous always) give. The existing synonymous You can no longer use.

The price decline in this sector, there will be no company can afford more, for old equipment on the latest drivers always nachzulegen. Fair would be a disclosure of the original driver code, so open-Sorc-programmers the opportunity to acquire an update ....

We are talking about products that Pinnacle bought the company (Truevision, Miro, etc.) 1999/2000 to what the market already in 2001 no longer has supplied drivers, and this is definitely one of my Sauerrei buying for the future major has influenced - and this quite rightly.

Of course you're right, that aging drivers for hardware does not support must forever - no doubt. I wanted to suggest not synonymous.

How then, but really noticed was the driver support for the IR. AV now - at that time synonymous not just long s.Markt was - almost immediately set about its own product line of Pinnacle to push. That meant that for every DV. Now AV users until today only a beta version of the XP drivers available, which, fortunately, some works (but unfortunately not all). I think that we - synonymous as "small consumers" - to expect that you get proper drivers, the course with already paid for the product (product is available in all calculations with it). And if not properly done, is - yes - a free update is absolutely in order.

Therefore as a consumer, it is my right, a company not to support their practice a little and I think a customer-oriented. That does not mean that all Pinnacle should turn back. But I now prefer to buy a piece of hardware, without the ballast of a full bundle solution à la Pinnacle comes along. And for me personally comes from Pinnacle above reasons no question but that everyone must know. :)

Perhaps we should be really the thread in the philosophy section of the forum move. ;)

If an average EUR 5000 card not even 2 years old already belongs to the old iron and the latest beta drivers stand was then this is normal?

It is not a question today that drivers for the hardware of time to be updated, but if at that time had a Pinnacle Manufacturer of broadcast editing systems (Truevision) buying and then all professional customer against the wall run because after a short time no longer coming or Drivers . that the beta-status and error never have to leave then you can become quite verschaukelt feel.

If you possibly think Miro DC1000/2000 cards, but then I assume that the Porsche2000 was long and have to be amortized.
At least for me is that so.

I meant more of the Targa Truevision cards. There was only the drivers for the 3000 accordingly. Because the other one was for years s.uralte workstations and tied the existing drivers had problems until recently, the same applies to the DC50 of Miro.

/ Edit: It is not synonymous drum as the cards off today but that was shortly after on the market since so was left alone, now crows after Hahn stuff eh no more, but keeps you as a customer as a "service" at the time of of course in memory.

Sounds perhaps a bit stupid now but the words or warranty service were with me still not required, is not synonymous with Pinnacle.
Is it perhaps that I did not try to fetch more than Rausser is Drin.
