Infoseite // Camcorder with hard drive -> DV quality

Frage von fritzdimmel:

Hi!

I am a novice in the field of digital camcorder (at least if the HDD goes Cams).
Previously, I had a Canon Camera with miniD-tape. This I could always without problems via firewire on my calculator and play cutting.

After my cam now spins constantly and eats the tapes (which unfortunately is very pain ...) I am now looking for a new one.
The entire HDD cams look very tempting, but since I have some questions about (and Google could not help me, because inputs such as HDD camcorder, etc., only offers of miser and Co appeared, but no info pages ).

*) If I have a HDD cam, since it is usually only a USB connection to where I could infect the Cam, just as a mass is detected and I get the video sequences can copy down.
Now it is so that they usually already in MPEG2 format, which is (in simple ways) not cut it (a la the DV format).
Because there's other ways to make such material to be cut or is it really so hirnverbrannt that simply is as it is?

*) Indicates's HDD cams that have a Firewire / DV output, of which one still on the high-resolution pictures coming?

*) Alternative: who can give me a reasonably good / current / cheap miniDV tape cam with a friend?
Super wär natürlich synonymous nor an analog input, so that I may be old video digitizer (previously had a Canon MV550i which could, but now eats tapes ...)

*) Even alternative: Where can I fix my Canon / watch without having to spend lots of money?

Thanks for any reply!

Fritz

Hi Fritz,

A few comments for you:

Although there are some technical difficulties, but it is not so that MPEG2 ever could not cut. Since MPEG2 format recorded by the increasing proliferation of DVD and HDD camcorders will frequently (whether now is the way forward, I leave undecided times), are facing more and more users from this problem and therefore can be the most common editing programs are increasingly synonymous with them. From "my" Magix software I know that in the current version should work well eingermaßen.

This is I believe a fundamental misunderstanding: A Camera, as MPEG2 recording, the film material is synonymous only s.den PC can deliver, no preference on which way to go. Ie a Firewire interface (if it exists) would you like no other material can be used as USB. MPEG2 is no less "high dissolved" (as you write), but simply different - ie, much more - is compressed.

Mini-DV camcorder (the usual use as Firewire) are characterized as synonymous to DV-AVI, which is the difference lies in the recording procedure is not justified and used in the interface.

So You Want to computer hardware, you need a (mini) DV camcorder use. The forum is full of recommendations and discussions of simple and not quite so simple Mini-DV camcorder.
