CanopusProCoder version 2.01.30.0 and 16:9

Frage von czwaterman:
März 2007

Hello,

I had a question about Canopus Pro Coder, version 2.01.30.0

My source for rendernde is a video of 60 sec with the Seitenverfältnis of 16:9 (1024x576) in AVI format.
In the window "Advanced Source Settings" will be specified in the corresponding rows synonymous recognized correctly and displayed.
I choose on the following pages: DVD, Pal, MPEG2 Elementary Stream, CBR, Quality and optimize for 60 min.
In the "Job Summary" will give me but now the size of the frame with 720x576 display. In the window "Advanced Output Settings" I can correct Seitenverhältnisin the line "Width", unfortunately, not synonymous enter. When "Aspect ratio 16:9 eizugeben of course synonymous nix.
After rendering I get a frame in 4:3, with a 16:9 movie ends, ie with black bars above and below.

What else can I set out to cut my 16:9 movies synonymous with a 16:9 movie rausrendern Canopus?

Thanks for the help!

Where is the video with black bars? In a player?

Antwort von czwaterman:

Yes, no preference in which the player will be movies shown with black bars.
But we agree with the proportions in the "inner" picture, as I mentioned in the row by Job Summary "Aspect ratio code" 16:9've clicked.
I have therefore everywhere 16:9 clicked wos is only in the "Width" I can not stop 1024 pixels indicate.

I am a little perplexed. Do I need a plugin 16:9?

Antwort von Markus:

Okay, I have expressed myself unclear. I thought with the player software s.Computer. A test s.Standalone-DVD player would of course not synonymous uninteresting. ;-)

Please for further indication of where you've viewed the video.

Antwort von Gast1:

Setting in Source: Advanced -> Video Filters -> Add -> crop -> OK, then right of the text "Click for cropping dialog" on the blue rectangle with the three score click. If the white part Procoder not already own s.das format of the video has adapted, you can help him with the white boxes (handles) to adjust itself.
Target setting ggf 16x9

That should help.

To Mark:

I have software on all the players I have (Quicktime, Windowsmistplayer, Realkram etc.) compatriots, whether the error occurs. Do it. Also, when I turn the film into the editing software (Premiere Pro 1.5) reimporting, the picture displayed in 16:9 in a 4:3 window and not as the original in 16:9 in a 16:9 window. As soon as I start rendering the wizard, I can see already synonymous with a 4:3 window, the black stripes. That's why I'd rather not miss blank, because it looks at the TV from the same guarantees.
I believe that I am in the window "Advanced Output Settings in the" Width "1024 or in the line so what video standard such as" WideScreen "can enter, so that everything fits, or not?

Visiting 1:

The settings you've mentioned are all correct. The problem is, I can not adjust the target, so my frame AND AspectRatio are 16:9.

I'm still baffled.

Can you again with other words to describe? And what format have you chosen?

Antwort von consulting:

what happens when you get into the premiere footage with pixel aspect ratio of 1.42 interpretierst?

Antwort von Markus:

Premiere If the AVI file as 4:3 with black bars indicating the image contents but the proportions are correct, then the ProCoder the 16:9 - video in a 4:3 letterbox converted.

So much for theory. With a practical advice for the practice, I can not serve because I am another MPEG2 encoder setting up.

Antwort von camworks:

Hi,

the solution for your problem is in the following thread: http://www.canopus-foren.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=12886
Quote:
So HDV is 1440x1080 at 1.333 pixel aspect ratio that corresponds to 1920x1080 PAR at 1.0 (square pixels). This is both 16:9

SD PAL 16:9 is 720x576 pixels at 1.78 corresponds to the PAR 720x405 pixels (square with PAR).
If you work in square pixels, the picture would be displayed 4:3 Letterbox

I would simply convert the HDV project to DV PAL SD 16:9 and 16:9 in SD MPG2 export and should have everything right ...

that is, at 16:9 dv leaves the resolution at 720x576. this one has the lowest losses. probiers with a dvd-rw from, you'll see, so you get the best picture.
I have tested with HDV (hab it dv 16:9 to 720x576 pixel runterkonvertiert) and got a distortion-free TV set to 16:9 and beamer displayed. I do not think that the aspect ratios of differences in DV and HDV in 16:9 occur, so that it is synonymous with you should work.

Also found in the following link a guide on how to 16:9 from 4:3 material is created: http://pcvideo.schiele-schoen.de/zeitschrift/allgemein/archiv/stream.asp?p=8&f=2060664.pdf&s = 9277

Antwort von czwaterman:

Thank you for the many tips. I am running the head louder numbers.

Once again to my problem:

I have source material in 1024:576 ratio with square pixels.
This material I have Premiere Pro and wants to cut it with the Canopus Pro Coder Wizard as a file with the same data rausrendern.
But in the wizard I can the value 1024:576 window JobSummaray; Advanced Outoutsettings "had not set ......( DVD Authoring and MPEG selected).

So, that was my problem.
Especially, I have a little time with the Wizard rumgespielt.
In the window "Select Generic Target" I have everything through.
If you choose "*. avi", you can frame all of the desired sizes and AspectRatios which means I need.
After the render looks like what I want to have. The window is 1024:576 and the material is in the correct ratio and not distorted.

But I have in the whole discussion found that this whole issue, I still have not quite grasped.
I will once more with the written and the links in depth.

Thank you s.alle participants!

Antwort von Markus K.:

The desired format of your SD is not DVD compliant. As a PAL output for SD DVD, you have always 720x576. At 16:9, the picture content encoded anamorphic (stretched horizontally).

About the tags in the MPEG-2 stream of the DVD player knows that a anamoprh encoded video is abgeespielt and there on the scart socket to the shift-pulse for a 16:9 TV so that in the 16:9 mode switches. It is the Auto Picture squeezed horizontally rectified.

If the DVD player hangs s.einem 4:3 TV and the menu of the player synonymous is set correctly then the player staucht the picture vertically on the correct aspect ratio and adds top and bottom black bars added (if it is set to letterbox and not to zoom or pan & scan).

When a 16:9 anamorphic video encoded in a software player and there is the aspect ratio to 4:3 is synonymous adds that black bars above and below this. So just check the settings.

If in ProCoder as input and output as 16:9 is selected is usually synonymous correctly changed (in the transcoding settings in the Options synonymous times examine whether the slider is not in letterbox and anamorphic scaling is allowed).
