No question: Blender Editing in Linux is just synonymous certainly not a bad choice.

Thanks for the Offer Account, but I already spend far too little time s.meinem Cinekee Project http://cinekee.slashcam.de/anleitung.html. Here is synonymous ne soon (hopefully) big surprise. And BTW: The code is now synonymous with minimal changes to Linux.

Kdenlive - it is absolutely simple tasks and for as long as you do not have material of H.264 AVCHD cameras. However, this project should save more times - so is stable in all situations Kdenlive not (yet).

With a simple command like "aptitude install Kdenlive" or associated with the package management GUI can Kdenlive on a package synonymous Ubuntu to be installed. Then a start under Gnome synonymous nothing in the way.
