The XL1 is a fairly popular device. But now I wonder whether the purchase is still worthwhile. Still, it is not a HDV cam and therefore I wonder how sustainable it is.
What would you advise me? Because one thing is clear. I want to finally of my SonyDCR-HC 30E away.

If old XL-series, then take at least the successor XL1S. The reason has little without a lot of improvements noticed.
