Samsung VP-HMX20C - Questions about settings and DOF

Hello together.
I think the moment a lot more spending money for a camcorder than I had in mind, and EUR 500 for an HD camcorder, of course, ridiculously low.
After lengthy discussions and forth, the Samsung VP-HMX20C seems exactly right to be. Despite the rather parlous state tests here on Slashcam I've usually only good one - and saw some on Vimeo.
But I have 2 questions: I definitely want to get control over aperture and shutter, ideally synonymous nor gain. The latter is probably not available, but some tests show that the synonymous Aperture can not be changed - but the manual is very good.
Can adjust the aperture? And above all, can adjust the exposure down, so works no longer automatic?
Also: The chip, the HMX20C is huge. Can I count on a slight zoom already with the foreseeable Tiefenunschärfe? (; of course not nearly as well as the Canon EOS 5D, but generally stronger than in other camcorders?)

I continue searching and rausgefunden that are hidden menu items for Aperture or shutter if the other is selected set to manual.
Does this mean that for that then takes over the auto?
I hope someone has an answer. This Cam seemed to be the only viable compromise.
