Search exact instructions to insert text in Virtualdub

Hello,
I would like a text in an AVI - file with Virtual Dub paste, but I do not get out. I have downloaded the appropriate plug-ins. (+ Converter Subtitler SUBC).
It is always a question. Ssa file .. How do I make a. Ssa - the File and I get the text? (Have only demo.ssa available). Do I need to convert the whole movie?
I have absolutely no idea. Is there a precise instructions in INet? I've already searched the forum but only found Halbantworten.

Okay, here still a Halbantwort: ssa files are subtitle files for DVD authoring programs. When the title right in the video to appear, without that you burn a DVD or a software player with the subtitle file to feed, then this is not the right tool.
The other Halbantwort must give you someone else. I just do VirtualDub seeeeehr infrequent. ;-)
