Warum überhaupt 16:9 ?

Why even 16:9?

Frage von Lutz Lange:
Juni 2007

Time, a very general question: How and why was the 16:9 ever developed. Have something of "pixel ratio in the Movies" read. Is that so? And if so, can someone please explain?

Antwort von Rene K:

16:9 is to the human eye, as a pleasant and harmonious in the perception / image, perceived as 4:3.
we see her stop by the panorama, in general a larger picture, as top and bottom.
probably synonymous for the reason that it gives panorama images.
