Best Buys On Drives-Some guys are never happy! - "Perry Mitchell"

From: Kenneth S. Bell
PS. If you own a 75GB 75GXP Deskstar, make sure you run the Drive Fitness
Test. If your drive was in the bad batch, its probably going to fail. IBM or
your reseller should take care of you.

DV Mag, was Last DVD-R blank question, promise... - Adam Wilt

It's the July issue. I just got mine, so I think that covers everybody

I guess I am REALLY last then :)

Oh yeah? I'm still waiting (patiently) for mine. What's the
> big hurry when you live on an island?
Oh dear, SO sorry, children: *I'm* the last one to get it. And don't you
forget it.
[Being a staggering 20 miles or so from DV Mag World HQ, it's easy to see
why... Jim's bosses won't expense his personal deliveries to me, either,
so I squat sullenly here in the vast deserted middle of the San Francisco
/ San Jose conurbation and do without, or go poke around in the computers,
horticulture, or cookery sections of my local bookstore for a musty back
issue...]
So, is this article everyone is talking about in the next issue, and by
that I mean the one, presumably, following the issue with the review of
the Spin Physics headwheels for Ampex quads, and Bruce's excellent article
on retubing a TK76?
[Jeez, wotta buncha amateurs... if ya need complaining done well, ya gotta
do it yerself...]
Grin,
AJW

Ide Raid - "Valerie Shoaps"

Check out the Igniter forum on Creative Cow. There have been a few threads about Sonnet cards. In a nutshell, I seem to recall it's cool for 2:1, but not 1:1 with an IDE raid. Don't quote me, though.

Does the DSR-20 record DV as well as DVCAM ? or is the DSR-11 my only
option ?
