Audio sync with ScenalyzerLive ?

Audio sync with ScenalyzerLive ? - "Perry Mitchell"

From: Matt Garretson
Hi All... has anyone else out there ever had audio-sync problems
when doing long DV/firewire captures with ScenalyzerLive? At
the start of the video, sync is okay, but by the end of a 2-hour
capture, the audio is about half a second ahead of the video. It
must be something in the way Scenalyzer is writing the AVI's, since
the actual DV stream can't really get out of sync (or can it?).
This happens whether or not Scenalyzer captures to multiple 2 GB AVIs,
or to a single 26 GB AVI. Also it is not affected by the "keep DV
audio in sync" setting.
FWIW, i've noticed that if i change the frame rate of the problem
AVIs (using AVIsynth's assumefps() filter) from 29.970 to 29.971,
the sync stays okay. But won't this cause problems down the road,
when i convert this stuff to MPEG-2 for DVD authoring (NTSC)?
This is Windows XP Pro SP1, with Sony DCR-TRV730 and ADS Pyro 1394.
