If you want to see the pictures then please try the following URL again and it will hopefully now work. http://www.perrybits.freeserve.co.uk/GY-DV500.htm sorry and thanks for your patience Perry Mitchell Video Facilities http://www.perrybits.co.uk/ Photoshop editing of captured stills - Perry Mitchell A couple of Photoshop techniques that have worked well for me: 1)duplicate the picture, apply the filter, and then 'paint' it back into the original ONLY where it really improves the image. e.g. don't de-interlace the whole picture (which loses resolution) but selectively use it where movement occurs. You can do this with selections, but I find painting from the filter layer with a soft edge 'brush' much easier to control. 2)create a routine to make a good mask to preserve wanted edges (I use a third party 'find edges' filter and play with the 'levels' control). This gives you the chance to reduce the noise and artefacts on large 'flat' areas that show it. 3)if you have tripod steady shots with no movement, capture several frames and then average them to reduce noise. 4)be prepared to spend an hour or two per picture to really get the best >from them.
