Warning: I have yet to find an LCD monitor that doesn't overscan as badly as an LCD viewfinder does! I'm still forced to use a glass jug filled with vacuum if I really want to see all the edges of my picture. OTOH, I could always carry my PowerBook on location, and monitor the live feed in the Log & Capture window of Final Cut...
