Camera shake correction - "Perry"

The good news is you can do it in After Effects 4, the bad news is you need
the Production Bundle version.
You need a good reference point in the background to get good motion
tracking, and then you'll probably need to zoom in a bit with the corrected
video to avoid seeing the edges, this will lose you a little quality. You
will also still have some motion blur so the result is not perfect.
Apparently:

has a shareware filter you can use in Premiere but I've never tried it! It
currently only supports PC use.

Pro cameras certainly have an Infra-Red filter, but it is becoming popular
on consumer cameras to offer a 'night- vision' mode which is effectively
making use of the infra-red response (sans filter). Some cameras even have
an LED powered IR 'light' on the front of the camera!
