DVL-Digest 912 - Postings: Index Mixing Progresive scan and interlaced? QuickTime Pro 5: Break anything? - (2) Mixing Progresive scan and interlaced? - Adam Wilt I recently shot a documentary with a TRV-900 in Prog. scan mode. On one > shot I switched by mistake to (regular) interlaced. Anyone know if, other > than aesthetically, is it possible to mix ad match in FCP. Yes, no worries. FCP happily intermixes proscan and interlaced. You may want to add the "strobe" filter to better match the look and the dynamics of the proscan stuff. Strobe automatically de-interlaces, and a setting of 2 will give you the same sort of 15fps motion stutter as the TRV-900's proscan. Im on a Mac with multiprocessors. With this set up, QT 5 breaks Sorenson VBR encoding (regular Sorenson too I believe) QT 5 has a better quality DV NTSC codec than 4.1.2, but to save headaches during compression I've had to downgrade and use 4.1.2 for capture and compression. Blah! Wish there was an easy way to toggle between QT 4 and QT 5? The easiest "toggle" is to set up two partitions, one with QT 4.1.X and one with 5.0 (two system folders alone won't do it because of the separate QT folder, unless you back up each QT folder and re-install them when you switch system folders). But if all you need from QT 5 is the good DV codec, note that OS 9.1 installs the SAME codec as the QT DV Codec Update 4.1.3. To get it, be sure to completely uninstall QT 5.0 first, then reinstall OS 9.1. Cheers, Adam Wilt (diese posts stammen von der DV-L Mailingliste - THX to Adam Wilt and Perry Mitchell :-) [up] |
