How can I edit MPEG-2 (DVD) on FCP2? - "Perry"


Hi all,
I know It is possible to edit MPG-2 (DVD) in FCP 2 because QT5 has native
MPG-2 codec. But I cant get it to work. I also have the Pioneer A03.
If anone can help, Thanks in advane,

I do agree on the fact that it probably is not a true progressive recording
because of the chip set design. However, a true progressive mode would not
be watchable on an interlace monitor, because the monitor would not handle
the scan rate, which is twice as fast as the interlace, interlace is 15.75
MHz and the progressive picture is at 31.5MHz and interlace pictures are
simply scanned differently than progressive ones and the monitor must be
able to do that. Computer monitors are progressive scan and would be able
to do the progressive mode. So what I assumed they meant was that they
cleaned up their time clock a bit.
