DVL-Digest 969 - Postings: Index Still Images for Video: Halftones Timecode and FCP Still Images for Video: Halftones - "Perry" From: Danny Grizzle I've got to use some old photographs from the 40's & 50's which are scanned from fairly coarse halftones (75-100 line screens). No original photos or negatives are available. What is the best way to process for use in DV? Sorry, probably more of a Photoshop question than After Effects... Does anyone make a specialty filter? Also, I'm concerned about doing moves on these images, since every dot of the halftones is clearly visible in the high-res scans. Do I have to be concerned about moving moire patterns during scaling? Timecode and FCP - "Perry" From: Webmaster I'm using Final Cut Pro 2 on my PowerMac G4, with S-VHS going in on my Matrox RT Mac Card and the DV deck being controlled by Firewire. This, I thought, would work great only the deck doesnt seem to be supplying an important timecode. So I set it up on my second (more expensive) deck. This works fine only there's no firewire port to let me control from FCP. I have to do manula "Capture Now". On the back, there is a 9-pin REMOTE port and loads of one-pin, analog ports such as timecode and the like. What I want to know is what do I plug in where to make the deck device-controble. PS. I also have a SDI and Q-SDI on the back of the big mains machine. Is this any use? And the model numbers of the 2 decks are Sony DSR-30P and Sony DSR-80P (80P being the more expensive, bigger deck) (diese posts stammen von der DV-L Mailingliste - THX to Adam Wilt and Perry Mitchell :-) [up] |
