16:9 with bars ..

Frage von hobbyfilmer_:
November 2006

Hello,

I turn with SonyVX 2100 and have first set 16:9.
I clasp it s.meinen Panasonic widescreen TV, so Panasonic recognizes that it is widescreen act. Also the manual setting to 16:9 widescreen, the right again.
Now I have material in the calculator and recorded with the video editor 7.0 of Media Studio Pro editing (16:9 project settings files).
View Preview: when I click on half the size, appears 16:9 preview pane -> everything correctly.
If I have the finished file to create wants (codec: 16:9 / 720x576), I get an MPEG file, which I like in Media Player with the bar below and above can view it. (like the original file)
I now burn a DVD, which I then leave the television play, then he does not recognize the widescreen, yet he removed the bars in the 16:9-setting.
What do I need to change so that the picture is displayed correctly? Why are the bars still there and the picture as zusammengequetscht?

Thank you for your reply.

Yours sincerely
Stefan

What pixel aspect ratio did you use when exporting?

(do you mean with the codec pixel 16:9 ratio 1:1.14?

Antwort von Udo Schröer:

It seems as if you put your picture next level or reduce them. The DV material contains a 16:9 picture, but only if you side of it. Otherwise you have a 4:3 draw. Now if your 16:9 TV still shows bars, you have once again squashed the Picture

Antwort von hobbyfilmer_:

thanks for the replies. Should I therefore the video with times render the 4:3 setting, so it does not "again" will be squashed? I will try it .... That really makes no sense, so I rendered it with 16:9.

Antwort von matte:

The vx2100 has no correct 16:9 letterbox mode only, therefore can not be synonymous with the normal 16:9 pixel aspect ratio of 1.42 can be played only with 1067

Antwort von Bruno Peter:

Or the bars off and then to 16:9 anamorphic resize ...
What is there for your camcorder so there ...

Antwort von hobbyfilmer_:

Ah! Okay!
Yes and how can I solve this now with the Media Studio?
Theoretically would have the material as I continue to act 4:3 (+ project settings to create the video). then there should be "unaffected" his.
And just so as to appear live material shot on 16:9 TV.
Is the idea correct?

Antwort von axel.schultze@t-online.de:

The VX2100e has certainly not true 16:9, but not synonymous letterbox, the DV video what it spends is "biased" and not letterboxed. Only on a 16:9 TV, it will be correctly displayed.

Antwort von Udo Schröer:

I use the synonymous VX 2100e

In the 16:9 mode is probably a very anamorphic picture is generated, 576 x 720
However, the lines in the VX 2100e interpolated.

I play it with Avid Liquid, and will wick synonymous correctly identified as 16:9 576X720.

The pixel format is following the capture with AL with 1,422:1 (CCIR PAL 16:) specified.

The DVD do I like the movie and get an anamorphic 16:9 DVD. The flag seems to be available for my TV automatically adjusts itself to on widescreen.

Antwort von hobbyfilmer_:

Hello,

thanks for the help.
I have the video file is now created as 4:3, ie the picture is obviously stretched. But it is aufm TV in 16:9 mode in the proper format stretch.
One problem I have now however. When you view the video on the PC want to (with PowerDVD), then it is stretched repeatedly. I have no function found that a switch to 16:9 vermöglicht.
Is it really the only way the window on the manual about right balance to move (aspect ratio disable!)?

Many greetings

Why this? Then you have to be yes every time the television channel because it is both 4:3 - as synonymous 16:9-devices incorrectly described!

Brenne prefer the outcome in 16:9 on DVD, then take care of the DVD player to an exact representation s.jeweiligen 16:9 - and 4:3-Television.

Hi Markus,

but I have described above, but that it does not work when I use a 16:9 file can be created.
The Picture will be even more "squashed" and s.16: 9 TV come despite 16:9 Picture nochmal drauf bar ...... What should I change?

Many greetings

Either is the default when you create the MPEG2 file wrong, the project setting when burning the DVD or the basic setting s.DVD player.

The project setting I think s.wahrscheinlichsten. ;-)

Antwort von hobbyfilmer_:

Aha .... And what is the correct project settings .....?

Antwort von hobbyfilmer_:

Have tried a bit, now do I get out for one picture, with two thin bars top and bottom ...... but the 16:9 widescreen TV that recognizes, I am still a long way ...

Did None Media Studio 7.0?

I do not have Media Studio, but using a separate DVD authoring program. Since the beginning, I must specify whether it is a 4:3 - or 16:9-Project is. Then everything runs as desired.

Is the Media Studio at possibly similar? Or you create a DVD directly from the timeline? If yes, what project settings you have for your video project chosen?

Antwort von hobbyfilmer_:

404ERR

404ERR

Antwort von Udo Schröer:

So far I can not diagnose it.

One thing is certain:
s.Pixelverhältnis it is not.

576X720 Pal 16:9 is correct.

Just try a 16:9 image to test burn. If you do not have post your e-mail address I will send you one.

Antwort von hobbyfilmer_:

Okay, thank you.
Here my address for the test image:
