I have been for some time problems with my PC. Meanwhile, he does not start properly and stays with the boot often hang. if your BIOS does have problems, not liegts s.Betriebsystem or s.XP. I would change everything first in the Bios to default settings and ggfalls. Onboard Switch off all devices. And again ... for the record .... a temperature problem with Intel processors means that the system completely hangs. But not so that will be delayed in entering the BIOS.
Each technician advises you in such cases to the "process of elimination!

If the Step by Step Failcheck not erstmal a bissel hardcore. Some, such as the Asus P4P800 respond to heat with very slow. (where it was not the CPU but iInfenion RAM, this changed in ert at Kingston RAM.
Basically, I give you but very happy, because the process of elimination really narrow down the problems.

Oh, and my P4P800 deluxe ran with a broken CPU cooler always nice stable ... so added about 1.5 hours (and got the case open) on one side, then everything was frozen and after the reboot, it always takes about 2-3 minutes, then the system was back. If he had a temperature problem, it would be relatively easy to reproduce it.

With us, the Samsung Headcrashes always began like that. As if the engine was eventually too tired. Access to the plates was sluggish and lazy and then clack clack clack cost me about half of my records. Only we found out with us, that it was created by the current fluctuations in the net. Since then, we Haen UPS. No more head crashes - though admittedly never been synonymous another Samsung Seagate or Worse

Toggle computer .... gets open ... Record unplugging the power and IDE bus ... gets a look in the bios and turn on what is happening now.
