Prozessorauslastung beim encoden nur bei 55%

CPU utilization when only encode at 55%

Frage von sonyandi:
September 2007

Hello,

I use the tool MediaCoder on my notebook with an Intel Core2Duo T5600 with 1.83 GHz and 1GB of RAM for converting DVDs by Xvid. This is a task Prozessosauslastung of about 55% displayed.

I Convert the DVD to my desktop with 3GHz and 512MB RAM it is the processor load at approximately 100%.

Someone knows why the notebook with only 55% processor power works?

Antwort von superflunder:

I suppose times s.das your desktop PC only has a nucleus and therefore all processes via a process interface to run - he is flooded with many processes during the dual core is working 50 to 50, and is also synonymous to encode the memory of importance

I hope I could answer your question

Mfg super flounder

Antwort von sonyandi:

The desktop PC has a Pentium 4 with hyperthreading.

But what I would like to know, I can not at the notebook looks set to encode at the 100% used to make sure that the whole will be completed faster or does it not? Are there any other component, which acts as a bottleneck and thus the processor with only 55% can work.

Antwort von PowerMac:

Sure, you have the "faster and more effective" button. Then everything runs much faster.

Antwort von sonyandi:

And where can I find these? Is the MediaCoder?

PowerMac has verarscht thee.
Possible Cause:
A program must be programmed so that both processor cores at compute-intensive tasks can exploit. In your case, the process is probably not multi-thread capable. a processor core is at 100% capacity through the encoding, which is 50% of system performance. Windows and the rest of the current use of 2 Programs Processor core 10%, these are the remaining 5% system load.
You can change nothing. That would be a matter for the programmers of MediaCoder.
Other Possible Cause: The hard drive is not fast enough to read and write simultaneously hinterherzukommen faster. If you ne fast external disk, you try to encode the file to the external disk to create, and to save the file on the internal.

I think this button you are looking not only to ...

Clasp me in my speakers. I have even a multiprocessor system with Magix VdL (see below). This is synonymous to render only one processor, whereas the other, the system receives s.Leben. Basically Magix managed only a sensible division of labor. A friend gave me versed synonymous words, the rendering process is so complex that it is only of any one processor can be done. Software, it is very difficult possible, so multiple processors synchronously to run a flawless calculation of of video data is possible. Anyway, this one in the forest and meadows - software can not find ...

That is not exactly true. Better programs can be made up of several processors benefit. I have already 770% for an eight-core Mac Pro with Final Cut Pro seen.

Hi Power Mac,
that would interest me, so ... Final Cut Pro creates so, have you any idea whether synonymous "smaller" PC programs such as Premiere, two processors can take full advantage? After the description was probably so. But Magix writes quite synonymous full "multi", which in this case probably only mean that the program on such systems synonymous ever run ...
