Display presentation of the HC-3 / Width is not true
Frage von HeinzBo: März 2008
I now have for the first time with the HC-3 a lay scene filmed. At home with me a lot of control on s.LCD, the edges of the platform were visible, even though I have this display on the camera could not see. Is there possibly a menu where I change the display of the display can adapt, or do I have in the future, "estimate" what I shall begin.

Hello,
the so-called overscan (that would be your keyword for more information), ie the nichtsichtbare area of a video image is of the output device to output device. A precise science it is not, it is only generally of 10% from trim.
The question would be, on which the actual display device edges later stage will not be seen to be, but with increasing age of the device concerned the overscan area synonymous change.

Hi Markus,
I had years earlier in the amateur stage ever recorded with my SonyPC100, previously with a Panasonic. The selected image in the display was always synonymous with the picture which I made in the editing software could see.
An overscan synonymous, I had already thought, but then would be the difference s.PC does not exist or do I see this now false?
I was hoping there was something like a secret menu where I can adapt. The difference is, despite a short distance to the serious stage.

However, s.Computer You have to see more than s.Camcorders (Viewfinder, display) or s.Television. Therefore, it surprised me that your current camcorder the complete picture to be displayed. That would be very unusual.

I ask myself what this idiotic Overscan in a "Viewfinder" just lost: can you estimate about when the end of the swing should be before you unwished filming?
For some "little things" seem to be the manufacturer really not thought to have!

It is historically conditioned, but the trim has s.vielen bodies still its raison d'être, for example, because the Picture s.Television (no preference whether tube, LCD or plasma) synonymous later be pruned.
Who the "full picture" including the border region must-see, which is either a video camera with underscan function (eg SonyZ1) or set up a field monitor for image control.
