Dropouts by head drum dirt already on the LCD screen visible?

Hello,
I am leaving shortly for a few days away, wants very important shots with my mini-DV camcorder can do and I have the recorded video not on Monitor / Television Watch.
I do not know how much dirt in the course of the years at the head drum accumulated. If you experience dropouts or other defects due to dirt would - I would have a trial at playing the videos on the LCD display?
If so, I would like to have a cleaning cartridge pack and just let go through, if errors are visible. The recordings are very important to me and not repeatable.
Maybe someone can give me what to say.
