Hi! I have a SonyDCR-HC85E and use Premiere Pro 1.5 and WinXP SP2. The camera is connected via Firewire to Play / Edit and DVin shows. I can with any problems with Premiere Of funzt the camera capture (all excellent), but I can not play the clip back onto tape. If I want to export the clip, the camera captures s.aufzunehmen and indeed synonymous hear s.der right place again, but no picture and sound gets through. When the camera is connected and switched on (on Play / Edit), plays the clip from Premiere does not synonymous. Can it be that my calculator, the video signal is not sent s.The firewire card (I have a PCI) Firewire card? What can I do?
I have the same problem to me, Premiere 1.0. Service Pack 2 is not installed. With Adobe Premiere 6.0 on the same Calculator everything works fine.
Why might that be?

To all with this problem: 1. Make sure that the DV camcorder - In has (see techn. Datasheet, mostly in the Manufacturer for download available). Be unlocked in some (older) models, the latter must still ev (see www.dv-in.de). In an emergency in the shop to check the function can be - then you're sure! 2. Many Firewire cables are faulty, especially those that are included with devices (cheap). In a new specialty store (eg Sony buying center, relatively expensive but all are tested to take), or the cable if you can check in accordance Pkt.1 shop in the function. 3. New Firewire card with a "Texas Instruments chipset" buy (many cameras are working properly), only with this original. In many video editing programs (such as Pinnacle Studio 10 Plus with Firewire card) are cheap Firewire cards included. Important: Hands off, if the Manufacturer of the Texas instruments chipset is mentioned "(technical description). My problem with "save film on tape" was after a long search until resolved.

Complementarity in the brackets is what counts! Who, for example (at digitalschnitt.de I know exactly) a Canopus A / D converter buys, gets delivered to an equally prime firewire cable.
What a blessing that their price and quality still has not died out, even if some of my contemporaries, greed is Geil! ;-)
