I try to hand-HD movies (filmed with SonyHD-Cam), exported from Avid Liquid in MPEG2 format 1080i 35mBps play on the PS3. (Habs on the PS3 hard drive copy).
Actually the quality is very good, there are only problems with horizontal panning sequences. This occurs Jerkiness or a "tightening" of the image.
I have a BR-disc with the same MPEG2 - File created strangely jerky but not here.
I've tried synonymous with various MP4 AVC Encoder to experiment (Super, PS3Video 9, Allok, etc..), Unfortunately without any usable results. However, there's some movie trailers from Hollywood, which I loaded on the PS3, which synonymous with any MP4 AVC H264 codec encodes been where horizontal pans are very smooth and the picture quality is simply super.

I read somewhere then the file name should be xxxx.xxx not xxxx xxx.xxx
