Hi 8 Encoden mit Plextor encoder

Hi 8 encoding with encoder Plextor

Frage von Plextor Encoder:
Dezember 2005

Hi would like to digitize tapes with 8 of this Plextor Encoder box provided. I'm with this Plextor Encoder device is an acceptable image quality?

At Canopus AVDC of kommts probably not up, but yes uahc cheaper.

Has anyone had experience with them is made or Tin and Picture synchronously, or would you prefer to grab a TV card?

I've heard that the record on DVD-Recorder (Standalone) the best image quality lierfert.

Hello,

this is not really true. You can s.PC basically the same high quality as DVD-produce with my DVD recorder (such as a Panasonic). Dost raised the bar even s.einen Canopus ADVC-300 to then s.PC usually the quality is even better.

If you are the DVD recorder, but with an inexpensive converter (which model?) Compare, then cut the DVD recorder provides up better. ;-)

By the way, digitize video with a TV card, I would advise, for example, whether Picture and sound are synchronously afterwards, you can not tell in advance (see synonymous FireWire FAQ">1. (c) Why do not capture card using graphics card, TV or video grabber?).

Thanks for your answer.

The model is of Plextor, description ConvertX PVR PX-TV402U.

Cost about 150 euros and is in contrast to a device AVDC a lot cheaper (even free S.300 euros or so).

Do you think I can safely take in half cheaper model?

I have already dubbed times with the help of a DVD recorder to DVD Hi8 and had then determined that the Quality management is really just as good as the original.

On the televisions come at all falls on, but not on the PC screen, but you can not really expect so much because it's not high-definition DVD and Hi8 material.

One more question on the quality. I'm more of a hobby user, and you in the forum so more or less professionals. And give da wirds ja differences which means the one as good quality or not.
So I'm not so accurate for the quality. What bothers me is not synonymous with wnn an mp3 encoded songs 192kps listen.

There are even some who claim to hear the Untersschied between 320kps and 192kps to. In classical music, the music may well not vote for baer skirt or bottom.

So once again simply as a question. I regarded as the less quality-conscious user who is synonymous with not-so-good content, I can confidently take on the ConvertX PVR PX-TV402U of Plextor?

Ultraschlecht quality should not stop yes, but not perfectly synonymous, they must be. And a D8 camcorder I do not synonymous buy extra because of it.

So now I want to buy the thing, or can be dasvon discouraged?

Hello,

Only a short time Vorneweg: If you have a DVD recorder and you are satisfied with its quality, why do you want to bring the Hi8 recording it with the help of the PC to a DVD?

Video recordings that look good on the PC monitor is not so, is connected with the differences between television and monitor (see Problem with DVCAM and PD170).

But now bring to Plextor ConvertX PVR PX-TV402U: If your application consists of unedited recordings Hi8 to DVD, then the Plextor converter an advantage: With it you can jump in MPEG2 format video capture which indeed for creating a DVD-video is required.

The Canopus converters to read only (! One) DV-AVI, which indeed has advantages in terms of quality and compatibility (supports any video editing software, these converters and this format), but then you'd have the MPEG2 format in a second time-consuming and may Step produce. Canopus ADVC-50 BTW: There is already
