Hello, I will be here for a friend to ask what he has as a second birthday MiniDV Camera get (used). According to owner is the only camera with Sony premium tapes and he wants to go now (understandably) Panasonic and TDK tapes used: I have read here, however, that Sony's and Panasonics / TDKs not mix, since this combination is probably the zuschmiert head. Well, we thought after we use a cleaning cartridge, but have the Sony head of the lubricant in question. Is that so, or we make a (serious) mistake?

No, he does not want, he has written.
@ Kevin: Do so quietly, it should be OK. The issue with the problems of mixed tapes long anyway is probably not as dramatic as is often written: There are enough people who are constantly using tapes of different manufacturer and have no problems, possibly synonymous's depends on the make from the Camera.
