Current Core2Duo series of 8xxxer Good motherboard of Asus or MSI. A 32bit OS (either XP or Vista - is to me personally Taster) 2-3 GB of RAM (in dual channel mode - if you are absolutely a lot of money in little performance gain plug, then 1066er Platinum / Overclocker watweissich Edition) A good power supply with high energy efficiency (with 500Watt should be more than enough) and a good, quiet fan (zb of Seasonic)
graphics card would I change the current HD 2xxx and HD 3xxx ATI take of (s.besten passively cooled).
A good housing - fully s.besten aluminum and of sufficient size.
Rest (DVD, mouse, keyboard) to taste.
This then takes the 20 minutes of video to encode only 5 hours - welcome to the wonderful world HD.

This is a crux with the 64-bit operating systems.
