Question s.die Encoding Specialist

Frage von Christian:
August 2008

Hello,

I have recently been problems with the convert of my clips.
I use this mainly Super2007 or Super2008 as freeware.

Here only a few details:
Source Material: Avi-DV or Quicktime DV (720x576)

The clips are formatted for the web, I dhsEnde
many videos in Quicktime format (. mov), Resolution320x240.
As a video codec do I use the H264.

Now the problem:

I do not clean in stages with more free Picture Super2008 if I 4:3 aspect ratio adjustment. It formed the vertical gradations (podium). Body when I export to 5:4, although the stages are gone, BUT the picture is somewhat zusammengequetscht, which is synonymous to be seen, the s.linken right edge of the picture and additional black stripes have been added.

Super2007 When I had my knowledge, this is not a problem in 4:3, just start the program no longer comes verrecken.

Synonymous What I do not understand is the following:

720x576 = 5:4 ratio

768x576 = 4:3 ratio

BUT AVI DV is 720 x 576 in size, but with the export 5:4
squeezed out.
When exporting, it is 4:3 with the original, but it is holding these vertical levels with the H264 codec Super2008.

Actually, I want it just as hinbekommenm again, like this:

http://littlefoot.airblader.de/videoworx/quarterpipe_mr_carter.mov

The clip is made with Super2007, 4:3, 320x240 and H264.
I change the same clip with the same settings in order Super2008, I described the problem.

Maybe someone ne idea or have had similar problems or even NEN tip for good encoding tools.
Thanks for read and think about it sometimes.

MfG
Christian

if yes can watch the tool help you:

Antwort von Debonnaire:

A PAL video has 720 horizontal and 576 vertical pixels nichtquadratische in Seitenverhaeltnis 1.0666 ...: 1 (in practice, 1.067:1). If you have this picture, like on a usual PC monitor to display square pixels do you need to take 768x576 square pixels. Therefore, the two pairs of numbers and supposedly different Seitenverhaeltnisse!

In the world of pixels nichtquadratischen videos show the same 720x576 pixel image as 768x576 pixel square in the world of LCD screens (monitor, projector, TV).

Antwort von tommyb:

Job as a 1:1 aspect ratio as an AND YOUR 320x240 resolution. And "deinterlace" if it darain there.

Unfortunately, this is not quite right, 720x576 is correctly converted 704x576 and 786x576 is 768x576.

Nope:

Antwort von MK:

Wikipedia, the serious information source on the planet.

But even there it is correct:

"720 × 576 (pixel AR 12 ÷ 11 normal, 16 ÷ 11 in anamorph)

CCIR 601, DVDs, digital cameras: There are usually only 704 to 720 pixels. The 720 pixels correspond to (sampling frequency is 13.5 MHz) 53.33 microseconds, but used in television sets maximum 52 microseconds for the display, which is about 700 ... 704 pixels corresponds presented. "

On the PC you have no window which is 52 microseconds from the 720 pixels gecroppt is, therefore, s.PC for the display of 720 horizontal pixels, the 786 correctly.

Otherwise you have the 720 to 704 cropping and then resize to 768, otherwise the material verzerrst you something.

Antwort von Christian:

man, man, da hab ich ja ne equal right little debate ;-)

But first thank you for all the tips. I will say with 1:1 instead of 4:3 try it sounds logical. And then I will still ma bescheid whether's he's successful (Mo. earliest)

Schönes WE

after a prolonged trial & error do I sign up again back to other non-synonymous stupid to let die, which is mucking around with similar problems.

What Super2008 and the tip with the 1:1 aspect ratio is concerned, this has the result that there is unfortunately synonymous really is square. If I had not thought synonymous ...

My solution is the following:
For video footage of 720x576 to 320x240 to make, use either the letterbox, which in Super2008 car with it is when you adjust 4:3 (the "Stretch It" distorts the material only in the width, resulting in the black bars left and right are gone, but agrees with the aspect ratio of not more).

Note: I did it in 4:3 ratio with letterbox to vertical stripes in the picture, particularly visible in oblique and rounded picture elements

OR

you forget to 320x240, the calculator takes and makes, finds that it is only 320x256 with undistorted rauskommt. To adjust these values to be available at "video size" the hook "more", and you can adjust it freehand. The funzt but not with any codec. I use the H264 mainly because there is no problem.

The end result is that you do not have black bars left and right s.Bildrand has not synonymous and vertical banding in the Picture.

Greeting
Christian
