I think now after I've read all the forum pages, I'm not really next with my decision. I just got time now but decided to write a post here on this subject.
Until now, I use a SonyHDR-SR11. So a so-called consumer cam. HD is an absolute must for me. With the SR11 I now have a good 2 years I've really had only positive experiences. Whether at home in the family or in the rainforest in South America for me as a layman, TOP. The post I make in AVCHD format with Magix Videodelux 16 Pro. The direct burn to BluRays really brilliant solved.
Now, as you all know, the possibilities with such a small cam is limited, I would now like to advance to the next league. In particular, manual sharpening and aperture settings are possible but with the small cog of the SR11 and extremely fiddly in practice as well as non-applicable.
Currently, my favorite, the SonyHXR-NX5
As I said, not a video company that makes wedding videos or documentaries. If the Cam for pure Hobbyfilmerei perhaps too well? Me cope with the many features the device? Exactly, I am an expert in this field: You do not need a new camera, with the old when you were already very satisfied. Nothing is better than your sense of prestige to be always up to date too. Intelligent people have to wait a little more than s.and on the proven penultimate state of affairs, which usually synonymous already quite mature and is inexpensive. Only the greedy buy novelty fanatics annoy the newest product in each case and then, when it is already outdated after 6 months as hopeless.
