Subtitles in VirtualDub problems

Frage von m0ep:
Dezember 2005

Hi, I'm worried VirtualDub yesterday and wanted to add subtitles to an avi movie, naja try after some hours googling and has worked just fine then synonymous is that developed an undesirable Nebenefekt, namely, the sound plays slower, thus beginning the first few min you notice nothing, but still noticeable after about 30 minutes verspätung 20sekündige is one of tone.
I hope someone can help me here because I really have no plan why is that so is.

Antwort von Stefan:

If the sound film is a variable in MP3 VBR (bitrate) is sound, there can be problems.

A pragmatic solution is:

Save sound as a WAV file first. Game length of the sound file with control of the video file. Add subtitles to video and while the sound from WAV file and recompress dazuladen as MP3 CBR (constant bitrate).

Good luck

ok seems logical and just like with what I do that:)

Antwort von Stefan:

Do you have VirtualDub? -)

With File-> Save WAV ... You will save the sound into a WAV file.

With the Media Player or Winamp or ... you control the game length of the audio file.

With Audio -> WAV audio ... you put the WAV file as the source.

With Audio -> Full processing mode plus Audio -> Compression ... you do the compression to MP3. You need for higher bit rates than 56 kbit / s, however, an MP3 encoder, because Bill has saved here. You can experiment here with the LAME encoder (Download at www.doom9.org).

Good luck

Antwort von Stefan:

I do not understand your question. Why do you have a new MP3 file? You should see a new video with new subtitles and audio track in mp3 format have.

Between control and immediate processing

of course you go back into your VD and subtitles make the video. Then, the changeover to the new sound and then subtitled video plus new audio to save as a new video.

Good luck

Antwort von m0ep:

sorry because I'm a little bit wrong words aba jetz I said that I've got a video with subtitles included the wrong audio track and nochma the correct audio track in mp3 format, the length agrees synonymous with the video.

With Audio -> WAV audio ... you put the WAV file as the source.

I've made aba but I do not understand how I can share because the audio track with it.

when it comes you could describe it to me please click for click, because as I said, I am a noooob in the area;)

You have two audio tracks in a video? How did you manage that? The original VD can not create two audio tracks in a video.

I have not described all of A to Z, because you've already worked with VD.

VD is simplified - - a copy program. You are a source (video file, open) and a goal (Video File, Save). As a luxury you can edit your video files between Reading and Saving with filters, you can Recompress, you can delete pictures and you can use the audio from an existing file as the video file to fetch (WAV audio source instead of audio) or kill the audio (no audio ).

How do you get the subtitled video stored on disk?

The File-> Save s.avi ... Command.

Just as you do it now synonymous. And indeed with the original VD of www.virtualdub.org in version 1.6.11. When you do that now with the new procedure?

After you have set as the audio will be imported to the new video. So after setting the source (source), the processing mode (optional if you want to have MP3) and audio compression (synonymous optional if you want to have MP3).

The original VD can pack no two audio tracks in a video. The new audio in the WAV file replaces the old audio from the original video file.

I refuse to write tutorials ala "VD for Dummies" is described in which each Furzklick. Leave synonymous dummies yes no questions, is described in which each Furzidee have come to them.

And since you can still claim a thousand times that you're the greatest Noooooob under the sun. Prove it ;-)

Good luck

First of thanks for your effort, but somehow I can not embed the mp3 because it is not a valid wav format, then I mounted the wav and it worked synchronously and everything was wonderful, just a small problem, the movie is jetz about 200mb bigger, because it is in wav format, I guess.

Tells you how I could compress the villeicht without which I must convert it to mp3? Book now Or is it not at it, but video, I had been synonymous with compressed divx

Antwort von Stefan:

Embed a WAV file is correct. That thou shalt mount an MP3 file, I have never written. The original VD can not.

AVI with Problemton capture, sound in WAV (saving), incorporate sound as a WAV (by charging), compressed sound in VD and save as MP3 subtitled video plus sound as compressed AVI.

200 MB, hmm, if your movie is about 20 minutes long, comes out with the uncompressed audio. If your film is much shorter, something else is wrong.

You can search for setting the source and before the WAV File-> Save s.avi audio - Adjust> Compression.

Of all the audio compressor, which brings out windows of the house, MPEG Layer-3 (= MP3) for music, etc. s.besten still suitable. The other audio compressors are more likely to Language.

The MP3 encoder (codec) of Windows have so far only up to 56 kbit / s and the compression is mau of good sound quality.

There are other MP3 codecs that are usable synonymous with Audio -> Compression of VD and allow a higher bit rate. One of them is the LAME encoder.

An interesting bit rates are around 128-192 kbit / s. In this way you can place the audio runterquetschen to about one tenth.

Good luck

woohoo, everything is going great, many, many thanks for your help and that you have had so much patience:)

you do not what could be the problem but has not right the first time went, but I had to burn just as subtitles and then change the soundtrack?
I would feel good to save on the half of the time:)

Antwort von Stefan:

You finally, phew I'm glad synonymous ;-)

Do not have the time Kopp. The "half time" is greatly exaggerated. The time-eater is the branding of the subtitles in the video -> Full Processing mode ... And the Neukomprimieren the video images.

If you have the same problem again, making the individual steps in the optimal order.

Creating from the original video file out first, a clean WAV file. In addition, the video image need not be touched.

Then the actual video editing (make subtitle) and during the storage of the new video hinzufutscheln clean WAV file.

The context of the audio problems especially with MP3 VBR Avery Lee (Phaeron has written) was ...
