if you want to be more stable then thin plexiglas plates (it is synonymous in opaque, use black) instead of cartons.

the self-adhesive velcro glued it exactly once, and it leaves both on the monitor as synonymous to the dazzle, a good velcro survives then thousands of (de-) installation actions without complaint and still holds.
