I was looking for just an hour in the forum - because I want anyone aufbündeln unnecessary work - but unfortunately I have found no exact solution to my problem. I looked at the way synonymous Markus' Page, but this helped me not completely synonymous. Now to my problem:
I would like to connect my VCR (Philips VR 960) s.den PC and copy video tapes to the hard drive. The VCR has an S-VHS synonymous out jack, and Audio In and Out. My PC has a front video input for the S-VHS cable, as well as synonymous Aux In connections (red and white). I connected the PC with both the S-VHS cable as synonymous with one RCA cable (sry if I write it wrong) with the VCR. Unfortunately, no device is detected, have the recorder switched synonymous to play.
If these connections? Do I still need another A / D converter? or have I overlooked something else wrong?
Would be very grateful for an answer, it must be synonymous not detail :-)

One terminal alone is not safe enough. It must indeed be synonymous behind the hardware designed for this.
What are you using for a graphics / video card?
I made good results in this regard with an ATI All-In-Wonder.

So, I just checked to see what is the graphics card:
RADEON 9800 Pro with an ATI Drivers.
This map is not well suited?

Yes, I've got the front 2 Connections, are marked with Video IN. As is the S-VHS and for the composite input.

The Radeon can actually receive any signals of these ports. Are you sure that there is no all-in-Wonder, or that you have another card in the system?
