VHS repair materials with distorted areas, but how? Plugs?

Hello! I'm supposed to fix a few old VHS tapes, next to the tattered colors, the material is still sometimes aoch spatially distorted, but then so rows manner, the strips are always just about 5% of the television show thick unglüclicherwiese synonymous biggest part yet directly in the faces of the people. What can you do about it? are there special ReparierTools? Has anyone schonmal made by hand??
By the way: Has anyone else Tips for the bad otherwise accompanying artifacts of VHS material, defined as one wegbekomme the flicker and the Farbschmieren?

what do you mean with "repair VHS"? If the tape broke in a mechanical way and manner? Or is it only (!) To create a proper digitization?
It should be obvious that one can make of a bad VHS material no longer first-class computer. Some users have almost as imaginative ideas, then also include a low-VHS recorder, and an equally grabber for digitizing. A clear contradiction!
What you can do is get the best of the photographs. Set to one (or even first-class professional S) one-VHS VCR so that on playback, no additional loss of quality arise or be reinforced existing problems.
Next, a TBC, the following sync error eliminated, so that the picture does not tilt away. Good TBCs synonymous allow for a correction of the horizontal and vertical color shift.
Modified an ordinary A / D converter with noise filter, a set so that the next picture will be optimized. As I said, miracles do not accomplish synonymous expensive studio equipment, but can be compared to the above-mentioned cheap version so do a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, the material is already captured on DV tapes. I therefore have no influence on the read, I'm feeling just about the digital post-production. Some software that promises a lot, which is no longer possible, I understand. Destroyed is destroyed. But there are some ways to make the material even a little nicer, wegzurechnen the noise and so. I bet that there are distortions synonymous for software that can recalculate it, I seek halt only opportunities are limited, I know that .....

Has anyone experience with the program X-Zoom Video Cleaner? Is there sowas synonymous in ner professional version? Or filter? De-Noise, go great with it? Rendering for weeks is no preference :-)
