I have a problem that I, despite Google and forum searches still could not solve, but unfortunately (for me) quite serious.
I am currently digitizing old family videos, which so far has worked wonderfully synonymous. Unfortunately, now is a VHS tape in between, which is no longer sensible to play it (synonymous've already tried with 2 players). At the top of the cartridge, so if the engine is my understanding after s.meisten pull tape must have been around during playback in Premiere dropouts of 1-3 seconds. Picture and sound are simply left, and then he starts again, until the game a few seconds later the front of starts. If the tape is next passed through, after about half an hour, there are no more dropouts. I am not hundred percent sure that it really s.der tape, but any other runs fine and it is also synonymous with the coil is extremely stiff.
Hence my question: Is there a way to ask stupid, so a tape or similar to oil? It would be a pity if the old recordings would be lost and you have incredible effort,'s sensible to play ...

No, not at all deal with oil rang! The moving parts are much more so stored that they run as friction - at least they should do. If nothing helps, Schlachte times a new cartridge and put the tape reels of old tape in it.
