VirtualDub can only save AVI. VirtualDubMod can still synonymous OGM
and MKV. But no version can be MPEG encoded Materail write
no preference in what container.

If you are in MPEG encoding with VD want to watch at times YMpeg. (a
older version can synonymous MPEG2 newer, because of
lizensrechtlichen problems, no more). Or do as VirtualDub
FrameMaker Server for a MPEGEncoder On.

If you only want to cut MPEG2Schnitt should help you
can.
