S.alle Hi there! I've bought a new external drive for the purpose of editing. Unfortunately I can on this not-too-fast access.
Apparently lacking a high-speed USB 2.0 host controller on my computer, is
a) either not connected or b) is not installed,
from which for me is the question: Is the hardware or software? And where can I get it? Thank you in advance for your kind support!

USB = Universal Serial Bus. Available in the version 1.1 for quite a while. He was jeztzt "bored", to allow higher data rates. There are plug-in to upgrade to USB 2.0. You can still use the plate, with reduced speed. MFG Peter
