Installation Notes for XL2 presets manager
Here is the setup procedure for XL2 presets Manager:
Connect your camera to your laptop or desktop PC using DV cable s.IEE1394. Your computer must be running the Windows XP operating system At this point do not turn your camera on.
* Run setup.exe.
During the installation, remember your installation directory! You will need this information later while installing the drivers. The default location will be Program Files / Blue Barn Pictures. We recommend that you install to this directory.
After the application has installed:
* Turn on your camera to the External Control (Ext Cont. ") Program mode.
At the "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" screen, you will be asked: "Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?"
* Select "No, not s.this time."
At the install page for the AV / C Camera Storage install page:
* Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)."
At the Search and installation options window:
* Check the box: "Include this location in the search."
Browse to the directory where you installed the application. By default it will be: "Program Files \ Blue Barn Pictures \ Camera Storage 1394 WIA Driver"
After the wizard has installed the AV / C driver, a scanner and camera wizard might appear, you can simply close this wizard.
