If you only think ORF 2, is recorded by the automatic scanning of ASTRA. However, not all broadcasts aired on satellite - instead, is then sent teletext.
Another ORF source, I do not know - would be synonymous tuned interested.

ORF1 and ORF2, ATV + and TW1 are on Astra Cryptoworks encrypted broadcast. For legal reception you need a smart card by the ORF (Premiere Austria ORF synonymous customers can decipher, I think) and a satellite receiver with Common Interface slot already built or Common Interface.
The smart card you can order at the ORF. Just look carefully at digital.orf.at
Should you wish to receive ORF from your PC, you need a Satkarte, the common interface is extensible. The cheap tickets are not upgradeable to the rule. For example, I use the Hauppauge WinTV-Nexus-S, identical with the TechnoTrend card, and am in the large and all relatively happy. Once, a few host of problems aside, ORF Digital is a wonderful thing: Bitrate: ~ 6500 kbps video and 160 joint stereo audio, AC3 2.0 and AC3 5.1 and 16:9 always when available.
As already mentioned, there are synonymous ORF2, but only sends the Austrian productions, but with slightly lower bit rate, but nonetheless very good quality.
Ö1, Ö3 and the federal radios are currently sent unencrypted, FM4 synonymous, as far as I know. Last year, even were the radio programs at once disappeared from my program list, now I have them again, nor has anyone else noticed?

Though one must still add that one gets only the ORF map as an Austrian citizen, if you have a regular synonymous ORF registration.
The data rate of ORF is in fact synonymous, in my experience a little higher than most German radio stations. However, what may even have the disadvantage that you can record a movie occasionally no longer on a 4.3 GB disc.
