'm an absolute newcomer and fitze me just a self-taught in the Canon XH-A1. Now wants to use presets. Where I come by so I have now figured out already.

But how do I use this now? Which mode do I need? (Automatic, I suppose not.) Do I still make a white balance?

In the operating manual of your camera, there's a separate chapter relating to "work with presets. A look into would be there to start with a good idea.

With several automatic modes, you can of course still add and save the White Balance, the presets synonymous not: you shall indeed only - whichever will make the expected impact - for a certain basic attitude of the camera, but they do not affect the settings of Aperture, Shutter Speed, White Balance, etc.
