With the Digital Encoder Head DEH-1 ARRI expands its range of camera stabilization systems around the SRH-3 Remote Head. Based on Cartoni technology, the new ARRI DEH-1 is the first digital encoder head that can be networked with the SRH-3 via the LBUS protocol.
The DEH-1 is therefore also recommended as an alternative remote option to (more complex) handwheels or joystick operation. In this context, the image video from ARRI that belongs to the SRH-3 remote head is also worth seeing:
The DEH-1 Digtal Encoder Head is compatible with any Mitchell flat bottom mount, offers seven friction levels and can also be equipped with a complete set of master grips to control focus, iris and zoom or with an Operator Control Unit (OCU-1) in combination with the master grip zoom wheel.
At the top of the DEH-1 there is a flat cheese-plate on which a monitor or other accessories can be installed. The friction of the swivel and tilt axis of the Cartoni fluid head has been specially adapted to ARRI specifications.
The two telescopic swivel arms are equipped with two sliding counterweights to compensate for the weight of the attached Master Grips or OCU-1. The DEH-1 is available in right- or left-handed sets and will be delivered this month.
