ARRI WVR-1s: New Wireless Videoe Receiver for ARRI's WVS Radio Transmission System

ARRI&s WVR-1s (Wireless Video Receiver) radio transmitter is the latest model in ARRI&s WVS radio transmission system. Its technology is based on developments by Amimon, which was acquired by Vitecs Teradek in 2018. Teradek assures ARRI that it will continue to support ARRI&s WVS product line.

The ARRI WVR-1s is slightly smaller and lighter than the WVR-1 and can be used up to 150 meters from the transmitter. It has a rugged, milled aluminum housing and is designed to give camera assistants and directors a mobile preview of the camera image while shooting.

It receives the camera images sent by either the transmitters integrated into the ALEXA LF and ALEXA SXT W or the ARRI Wireless Video Transmitter (WVT-1) and transmits them to a connected monitor. The material can have a resolution of up to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 60 fps.

The WVR-1s receiver has integrated antennas, battery adapters for microbatteries and an additional power connector for a monitor. It is part of the extensive WVS portfolio, which includes integrated as external transmitters, receivers, monitors and a variety of matching accessories. The first copies of the new compact WVR-1s receiver are scheduled for delivery in May 2019.
