Apple iPhone 11 Pro with better video and for the first time with triple camera

Apple changes its naming scheme with the three new iPhones: the successor of the basic model iPhone XR is now iPhone 11, iPhone XS becomes iPhone 11 Pro and XS Max becomes iPhone 11 Pro Max. For Filmer, the innovations fortunately focus on the video function, a drastically increased battery life and the camera, which now for the first time for Apple at least in the two Pro models consists of a triple camera system (13, 26 and 52mm) and is thus at least equal in quality to the top Android smartphones.

Thus, the quality of photos is to be improved by combining the photos of the camera with medium focal length, telephoto and ultra wide angle as well as with normal and unfavourable lighting conditions. For the first time Apple (with all three new models) also offers a dedicated night mode to improve the image quality for night shots - it remains to be seen whether the quality can come close to Google&s pixels. A later feature is "Deep Fusion", an AI camera app that analyzes 9 images using the Neural Engine and combines them into a single image.

and has new possibilities for video editing directly in the camera app , which can be used, for example, to cut and trim videos or change the brightness and apply filters. At the presentation of the new iPhone, the developer of the popular Filmer app Filmic Pro already demonstrated parallel recording with all four cameras.

The iPhone 11 Pro (Max) also features a 1,200 nits bright Super Retina XDR 5.8" or 6.5" (Max) OLED display, an IP68 rating, 64-512 GB memory and a battery life 4 or 5 hours (Max) longer than . 5G capability is not yet on Apple&s agenda.

For all three models Apple uses similar hardware, the new, even more powerful (20% more CPU and GPU power) A13 Bionic processor, which is specialized for machine learning and more efficient than its predecessors. Apple continues to use the Lightning Port for the interface, and the Notch - unlike top Android smartphones - is still available.

iPhone 11

The iPhone 11 features a 6.1" retina display and a dual camera: a 12 megapixel and an ultra-wide angle camera - both cameras record video at up to 4K at 60 fps. The battery life has also been improved here: compared to the iPhone XR, the iPhone 11 should be powered for one hour longer.

The prices for iPhone 11 will be 799 Euro with 64 GB, 849 Euro with 128 GB and 969 Euro with 256 GB. The iPhone 11 Pro will cost 1,149 Euro with 64 GB, 1,319 Euro with 256 GB and 1,549 Euro with 512 GB, the iPhone 11 Pro Max will cost 1,249 Euro with 64 GB, 1,419 Euro with 256 GB and 1,649 Euro with 512 GB. The new models will be available in Germany from 20 September.
