Atomos has released the new firmware version 11.07.00 for its Shinobi II and Shinobi 7 RX monitors, which adds support for camera control—including touch-to-focus—for additional camera models.
By integrating a USB-C interface into all next-generation Atomos monitors and monitor-recorders, filmmakers and content creators can control key camera functions such as ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and white balance directly via their Shinobi monitor, enabling more efficient workflows.
According to Atomos, this update brings the Shinobi series on par with the new next-generation Atomos Ninja monitor-recorders (Ninja RAW, Ninja TX GO, and Ninja TX) in terms of camera control.
The following camera models can now also be controlled via the Shinobi II and Shinobi 7 RX monitors:
Canon: EOS R5; EOS R6; EOS R6 Mark III
Fujifilm: GFX100S II; GFX100RF
Nikon: ZR; Z7 II (photo mode only)
Panasonic: DC-GH7; DC-S1RM2; DC-S1M2; DC-S1M2ES; DC-S1H
