DJI has introduced two new drones models at the IFA 2017 - but only the DJI Mavic Pro Platinium, a slightly improved version of the
DJI Mavic Pro, brings real improvements. The most striking feature is the significantly lower - compared to the predecessor version 60% resp. 4 decibels - noise of the rotor&s flight of the rotors (it should also be possible to retrofit the Mavic Pro after the installation).
In addition, the flight time of the foldable camera quadrocopter is to be increased by 11% from 27% to 30 minutes. Nothing has been improved on the other functions such as 4K video recording. The Platinum version, however, has been given a platinum-coloured coat of paint in keeping with its name. The Platinum model costs around 1,300 euros, 100 euros more than the DJI Mavic Pro - and a combo version costing around 1,600 euros is to be launched later on.

DJI has introduced the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian Edition as a second new model, which is supposed to cost as much as the
Phantom 4 Pro at about 1,700 Euros - the only difference is the somewhat more elegant look with a matt-grey finish. Both new models are to be delivered from September 2017.
