Shortly before the opening of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, Dell Technologies unveiled its new Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U4025QW), which boasts 5K resolution, among other features.
According to Dell, the UltraSharp monitors from Dell are also the first to receive a five-star certification for eye comfort from TÜV Rheinland. This is a new industry standard for eye comfort designed to help reduce signs of eye fatigue. To achieve this, the Dell monitor had to "improve" the following features:
-Doubling the refresh rate from 60 Hz to 120 Hz to deliver smoother and sharper moving images.
- Integration of an ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the screen brightness and color temperature to the ambient light conditions.
- Blue light reduction in the LED backlight from 50% to less than 35%.

The Dell U4025QW UltraSharp 40-inch 5K monitor with 120 Hz is TÜV-certified for eye comfort
The new 40-inch 5K monitor with 5120×2160 pixels is also VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and features Dell's renowned IPS Black Panel technology for more color contrast/dynamics.
According to Dell, the U4025QW monitor covers 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. And as befits a "professional" model, it can also be calibrated with the Dell Color Management software.
In terms of connections, Thunderbolt 4 stands out, which also supports power supply with up to 140 W-PD via a single cable. Other connections include RJ45 Ethernet (with 2.5 Gbit/s) as well as HDMI 2.1 FRL (Fixed Rate Link) and DisplayPort 1.4.
The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U4025QW will be available worldwide from February 27, 2024 at prices starting at 2,399.99 US dollars.
